Getting Started

1. Remove the battery door by slightly pressing the knobupward.

2. Insert one new AA size battery as per indication marked inthe

battery compartment.

3. Close the battery door.

4. When the battery is inserted, all the segments of thedisplay

will be shown briefly before entering the radio controlledtime

reception mode.

5. The RC Clock will automatically start scanning for theradio

controlled time signal after 15 seconds.

6. The default time zone is Pacific time zone. If you are inthis

time zone, changing is not required. Otherwise, change tothe

correct time zone (Refer to 'Select the Time Zone')

NOTE: If there is no display on the LCD after inserting the

battery, replace a new AA alkaline battery or press theRESET

button.

Function Keys

MODE button: Switch between normal time mode,

and alarm time mode.

SET button: In normal time mode, toggle

between 12 or 24 hour format. In

setting mode, step the setting

items.

ADJUST button: Toggle between Month/Date and

Year display. In Alarm time mode,

switch ALARM/SNOOZE function on

or off.

RECEIVE button: Press 'RECEIVE' button to receive

the signal for reception testing.

Check the signal strength indicator

in the first 30 seconds. If the signal

strength indicator is in acceptable

signal quality, fix the clock here.

Otherwise, place the clock in other

position and press the 'RECEIVE'

button again, the reception will be

off automatically after 6-12 minutes.

RESET button: In case of malfunction, use a pin to

press the RESET key to restart the

clock.

SNOOZE button: Stop the snooze function during its

activation.

Signal Strength Indicator

The signal indicator displays signal strength in 3 levels.Wave

segment flashing means time signals are being received. The

signal quality could be classified into three types:

Poor signal quality Acceptable signal quality

Excellent signal quality

If the clock receives the signal successfully, a solid signalstrength

symbol appears on the display.

The unit has already received the time signal. Otherwise the

signal strength symbol disappears from the LCD display.

NOTE: You may use the RECEIVE button to receive the time

signal manually. The receive mode stops automatically after6-12

minutes. The receive mode consumes more battery power andwill

reduce the battery lifetime.

Make sure the time zone is already set to appropriate location.The

default time zone is Pacific zone. If your location is out ofPacific

zone, please do the following steps:

1. In the normal time mode, press the MODE button to enterthe

alarm time mode.

2. Press the SET button to change the time zone

PA=Pacific MO=Mountain CE=Central EA=Eastern

About the Daylight Savings Time (DST)

The clock has been programed to automatically switch whendaylight

savings time is in effect. Your clock will show 'DST' duringthe

summer.

Manually Setting the Time and Date

If the clock does not receive the signal successfully you canset the

clock manually.

1. Press the 'SET' button for 3 seconds until the HOUR digit

flashes.

2. Press the 'ADJUST' button to increase the value of theflashing

digit.

3. Press the 'SET' button again to step the setting items.

The sequence is:

Hour > Minute > Second > Month > Date > Year >Day language.

4. Press the 'ADJUST' button to increase the value of theflashing

digit and select the Day language:

GB = English FR = French DE = German

ES = Spanish IT = Italian

5. Press the 'MODE' button to exit the setting mode.

Setting the Alarm

1. In the Normal Time Display, press 'MODE' key to enter theAlarm

Time Mode.

2. Hold 'SET' key for 2 seconds until HOUR digit flashing.

3. Press 'ADJUST' key to increase the setting value.

4. Press 'SET' key again to step the setting items. Thesequence

will be: Hour > Minute.

5. Press 'MODE' key to exit the setting mode.
