When connecting a microphone to a sound card, you'll need to connect it to the Mic-In input rather than the Line-In, since Line-In inputs don't handle microphone frequencies well. Things like instruments and DVD players will plug into the Line-In input. ARC feeds TV digital audio to your Sound Bar. To connect, insert the HDMI cable in the TV HDMI port labeled HDMI ARC. Your TVs HDMI ARC port may be labeled differently. Refer to your TV owners manual for HDMI ARC and CEC operation of your TV. Press the ARC button on the Sound Bar remote to select the ARC input. Hi guys,
long story short, in my office we have a soundbar for the occasional all-hands videoconference with HQ.
Now we would like to add a microphone since we've grown so much that now local all-hands presenters have to scream to be heard.
We bought a microphone, a power source for the mic, and a cable to connect it from the XLR power source to the 3,5mm jack in the soundbar.
Now, I'm guessing that we did a mistake with the power source (maybe also with the mic) because the sound coming out of the soundbar is very faint.
Of course, myself being Operations department, I'm tasked with solving this issue. The thing is I don't have the slightest idea about sound setup, so I'm coming to the experts.
What do we need?
